one of my favorite subtle implications in the series is that it seems the Titan Army was fully banking on Percy being the host of Kronos. Why else would they make their main base a cruise ship if their primary enemy is a son of Poseidon? Named after Andromeda, the wife of Perseus? Why would they work on Oceanus specifically being free so much? Side notably with other children of Poseidon? Why plant Zeus and Hades' items of power on Percy when Luke already had them? Why only Zeus and Hades' items, not Poseidon's? Well because they really need Percy as Kronos' host, that's why. (and Poseidon siding with them because of that would be a bonus as well)

I like to imagine Luke's cabin on the Princess Andromeda is fully decked out with like "WELCOME PERCY" and sea-themed sheets and everything and he hates it so much cause it's a constant reminder he failed and he was Kronos' second choice. Also then he gets his super special pegasus not even exactly stolen by Percy, but the pegasus willingly defects to be Percy's personal steed instead, which must just be insult to injury. Luke has immense one-sided beef with Percy and Percy has no idea.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

Tony Stark who tells Morgan stories about Peter or Spiderman before bed.

Some of them are real, some of them are made up. They all started out real, but Morgan is a girl who LOVES to ask questions. And she particularly loved to see what Tony thought Spiderman would do in certain made up situations (“Daddy, if there was a monster under my bed, would Spiderman come and save me?”).

After every story, Morgan asks “Is that story true or made up, daddy?”

She likes the true stories the best.

One night, after Tony retells her favorite story for the three thousandth time, Morgan gets unusually quiet. She’s twisting her little hands in her lap, staring down at them with a look far too solemn for her age.

Tony nudges her playfully with his elbow. “Why the long face, huh Mo? You love that story,”

“Umm… well, I wish Petey was still here. I wish I could play with him,” Morgan sighs. The admission hits Tony like a brick, forcing a stinging wetness to his eyes.

“Yeah. Yeah, I wish he was here too.” He manages, clearing his throat. “He would love to play with you, baby. You would love him.”

“I do love him,” Morgan replies naturally, unaware of just how meaningful her words are to the older man. “I love him 3000, even if he can’t play with me.”

Okay but what if Little Baby Man Danny has really shit eyesight and everything is tinted in Ectoplasm Green and when he (bc it's a DCxDP ofc) arrives at Wayne Manor and sees a tall, lean-built, man in black-n-white clothing and white hair, Danny, in all his tiny brained might, fully believes that a weird older version of his phantom self just happens to live with the waynes.

Like, I know it'd be a stretch but just imagine!

Danny is...waiting. Patiently. He wants food but Tall-Weird-Phantom won't give it to him, even though he asked really really nicely (All Alfred saw were two big eyes sparkling up at him). So now he sits ontop his fruit bed staring down the other-him as the Not-Not-Phantom chops something brown and fuzzy into neat bright green slices. Danny drools.

When Danny had first arrived, squirming and chirping under the Tasty-man's brown, heavy jacket, he had wanted nothing more than to find a cold, dark, corner and hide forever and ever! Then a lyrical-like voice spoke and Danny could see see see and what he did see froze him solid. There, in the middle of the huge (huge) room full with shinies and patterns, stood a man wearing a full-body black suit. Squinting, Danny could tell the man had white hands, a splash of white on his chest, and though he had no white feet there was definitely white hair on his head...is. Is that. No, no no no there way no way this man was and older him. Not possible!

....but.

If Danny were older, he'd might want to change up his appearance. Just a bit. And sure this guy's hair is a little flatter, a little neater, a litte oddly shaped in his blurry vision. However, even if he were living in a place as fancy as this, he would never–

OH.

OH NO.

Did Vlad succeed!? Is this an older him that got stuck under that fruitloop's thumb!? Danny has to help him, there's simply no choice. Determination sealed and no plan set, Danny tilts and bobs his head, gauging the distance and wiggling around to get the right grip. The arms around him seem to tighten minutely with would've been met with more squirming previously but were now juuuust right to– Danny leaps.

The background chatter of the two men breaks off with Tasty-man trying to catch him with a yelp but Danny is faster than his long arms. The Possibly-Older-Danny seems to already know what Danny was planning, his arms outstretched perfectly for Danny's little front legs to latch onto his forearms while the spindly black tail curls up in the man's hands.

This close, he can see that the guy has a mustache. Weird. Danny flexes his paws a little, careful to not shred the oddly-soft clothing beneath him, and let's out a little trill, ear perked for a response. He has to really listen but there, a quiet soft chirp back and the faint smell of lemons and bleach.

The Maybe-Him pulls him in close, tucking his gently but firmly into the–oh–buttoned vest he wears. Danny's ears droop a little, and his eyes feel cold. What did Vlad do to him, for his core to be so muffled?

Light touches drag their way from the top of his head fluff down to his haunches(?). Yeah, Danny is going to do whatever he can to protect his maybe older self.

You mentioned in the tags of I think your comic of Akira and Akechi traveling that Akechi is first-aid certified in multiple countries. Does this mean something to any headcanon’s you have about what his adult life would be like? I love your palace au and i’m really interested in how he recovers afterwards!!

that actually wasn't a joke! :D it started off as a "taking care of akira" investment that got outta hand ya see-

some background first! in my head shuake wind up traveling after Akechi's physical therapy and Akira takes an "extended leave" from uni then just. never goes back.

they travel China, then Thailand--near all the countries in east asia. at first, its about putting some distance between themselves and tokyo and all that metaverse ptsd baggage no one wants to acknowledge or talk about-

not that they don't have talks. they talk a lot, they have a lot of hard talks in hotel rooms, during quiet moments, about everything and nothing at all. akira is devastated to learn that his future husband is a dog person.

then, literally as they're about to book the plane back to tokyo, after months and months of travels and late night talks--akira offhandedly, mentions that he's always wanted to visit paris.

there's no reason for them not to. akira has an absurd amount of metaverse money, akechi has the key to a good chunk of shido's offshore assets. akira picks up languages quickly thanks to his personas and so does akechi.

and it kinda spirals from there. after that they only drop by tokyo for holidays and planned thief get-togethers.

akira's the type of wild card that picks up confidants everywhere he goes, he likes to help the people he connects with, and sometimes that comes with dangerous situations and hospital visits.

(the two of them are nosy, reckless and don't know how to mind their own business to save their lives. and akira is so kind to others and willing to help and his and akechi loves and hates him for it so, sooo much.)

at first akechi learns how to patch (his) idiot up for his own peace of mind, its manageable, he's used to patching up real world wounds. his initial mementos explorations were full of trial and error, after all.

--then there's this awful business with the russian mob that akira's gotten involved with during that part-time bodyguard gig protecting some small time lawyer's child during a court case and, well. he's two years in, somewhere between learning how to suture a stab wound from an underground doctor and looking up tameki-san again,

akechi realizes he's in this for the long haul. that he has to--unfortunately--lock in.

and he's GOOD at it, akechi likes being good at things.

he's not planning on being a doctor or anything, can't stay in one place long enough for a degree. but, picking up certifications still scratches an itch he wasn't aware he had. to heal instead of hurt--it helps that it starts with akira.

anyway, sometimes when he's bored and they're in one place for more than two weeks he'll go hit up foreign clinics who need a temp helper.

Dick got extremely frustrated with Tim when Red Robin didn't take any time off after repeated concussions, and wound up changing all the passwords and messing with the spelling on Tim's reports and files, which freaked Tim out enough that he did go for a head CT and a decent nap.

Bruce, much later: "Why is my password not working?"

Dick, seeing a golden opportunity: "Password's the same as always. How many concussions are we up to now?"
